Wangtao-Phonthong Special Economic Zone was established in 2016. The zone was developed by Duangdee Bridge Construction Company Limited.
The zone covered 253 hectares located near Wangtao checkpoint (Lao-Thai border). The zone shall be developed into trade and logistics centre.

Mahanathi Sithandone Special Economic Zone is located in Khong District, Champasak Province. The zone was established in 2018, under 50-year land lease agreement. The zone was developed by Lao private company. The investment consists of seven businesses (including a casino) and will take a total of 33 years to complete.
Mahanathi Sithandone SEZ covered 9,846 hectares and shall be focused on new urban and tourism development. The zone comprised with 3 main areas such as new urban centre (9,324 hectares), water area (440.89 hectares) and agricultural (80.59 hectares)

Pakse-Japan SME Industrial Estate is located in Champassak Province. The zone was established in 2015, under 50-year land lease agreement and a total investment of 62.5 million US dollars. The zone was developed by a joint venture company: Pakse-Japan SME 70% of shareholding and 30 % shareholding by Champasak SEZ authority.
The zone covered 195 ha and is focused on Small-Medium size businesses from Japan, mostly in manufacturing and light industry. The zone aims to develop as an industrial development zone. Establish a comprehensive infrastructure that meets technical standards to facilitate both domestic and foreign small and medium-sized enterprises.

Champasak Lao-Service Industrial Park
Champasak Lao Service Industrial Park was established in 2015. The zone was developed by Lao Private Limited Service Co., Ltd., shares holder of 70% and SEZ management authority on behalf of the Government holds a 30%.
Champasak Lao-Service Industrial Park covered 858 hectares. The zone focused on light manufacturing such as electrical parts, automotive assembly, etc.
